First Sighting

I made my first sighting to Mommy, Daddy and Dr Ng on Saturday, 01 September 2012. I am still very tiny and still very busy developing my organs. I don’t look like human yet, but a tiny particle inside Mommy’s uterus.  The first thing Dr Ng looked out for when she did the ultrasound was my heartbeat. When she found it, she asked if Mommy heard it? Of course, Mommy was very quick in detecting my moving tiny heart and thus heard my heartbeat when Dr Ng turned up the volume. Dr Ng then called Daddy to come over and witness it.

Mommy and Daddy were quite surprised to hear the sound of my heartbeat. Mommy didn’t expect to hear it for a few more weeks, but was amazed that the ultrasound machine in Dr Ng’s clinic was able to detect even the tiniest heart and be able to amplify the sound of its heartbeat. In fact, Mommy expected that the doctor will give her vaginal ultrasound as she thought I am still very tiny to be detected using abdominal ultrasound. Wow, such an amazing machine.

Dr Ng congratulated Mommy and Daddy and said that it was about time that I come in the picture because Hendrik is already 4 years old. Mommy remembered Hendrik telling her a few weeks ago that he wanted a baby sister. He even touched Mommy’s tummy and said that his baby sister is inside. Uh-oh… But I don’t know yet if I will be developing the female or the male organ. I will be able to tell in a couple of weeks more. For the mean time just hang on, and let’s hope that I will be the princess that Hendrik wanted. Otherwise, I will be his baby brother and best friend.

Dr Ng asked that Mommy see her again after three weeks. I cannot wait for that time. I cannot wait to show Mommy my developments.
